Contact WattPenny
Found a wrong number, want an appliance added, or have a question about how something was calculated? We would like to hear from you.
The best way to reach us is email: hello@wattpenny.com.
To help us act quickly, please include:
- For a correction: the page URL, the figure you believe is wrong, and your source or measurement (model number and how long you measured it, if you used a plug-in meter).
- For a new preset: the appliance, its typical wattage or annual kWh, and where that figure comes from.
- For a question about the method: the inputs you used and the result you got, so we can reproduce it.
What we can and cannot help with
We can fix errors, add or adjust appliance presets, update rate data, and explain how a figure on the site was calculated. We cannot advise on your specific electricity plan, diagnose a high bill, or recommend a particular product or contractor; for those, your utility's customer service and a licensed electrician are the right people.
Privacy and advertising
Questions about cookies, advertising or your data are covered in the privacy policy. If something there is unclear, email us with "Privacy" in the subject line. Advertising on this site is managed through Google AdSense; we do not sell ad placements directly.
Where we are
WattPenny is an online-only publication and does not have a public office. All correspondence is by email.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I get a reply?
Usually within two to three business days. Corrections to published figures are prioritized and are typically fixed on the site within a week, with the change noted on the page.
Can you tell me what my specific appliance costs?
The calculator can, if you enter its wattage or the kWh figure from its label and your rate. We cannot provide individual estimates by email, but if a preset seems wrong for a common appliance we will check it and update the data.
Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?
No. All content is written by the WattPenny editorial team, and we do not publish sponsored articles or paid links. Requests of that kind will not receive a reply.
How do I ask about advertising or privacy?
Email the address above with "Privacy" or "Advertising" in the subject line. Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense; our privacy policy explains what data is involved and how to opt out of personalized advertising.
